Panda Express Beijing Beef & Honey Walnut Shrimp review

The beef had just the right amount of spice. I did enjoy it. The sauce is a good mix of sweet and spice. Nothing overpowering here.

The coconut was overpowering on the shrimp. To sweet for my liking, but I am a fan of shrimp, so it gets a pass.

The chow mein is complimentary to both. It is okay for fast food.

Portion size was okay. We have a chain of grocery stores here called "Hy-Vee" I would have much rather ran in quick and ordered their Chinese. They have HUGE portions and fresh meat! With a better price. Well anyways, this is not about them, just saying, I dropped the ball on this one.

I enjoyed the Beijing Beef over the Honey Walnut Shrimp, if I am to return to Panda Express.

Not the best, not the worst. Panda Express is rather prices, however there are not many options for Chinese fast food. So mission accomplished, I think.

This two entrée gets 6.5 / 10 rating from me.

Raising Cane's The Box Combo review

The box combo from Raising Cane's has become one of my favorite combos out there, despite my lack of interest in coleslaw. The coleslaw is fine. I would prefer two sides of fries instead, or hell even an extra slice of toast. I will have to try and ask for that switch next time.

The chicken fingers are great. The meat is thick, juicy, and moist. Just the way daddy likes his chicken. The breading is great, and seasoned well. Fingers are well sized and filling.

The crinkle cut fries are better than most fast food places. The seasoning is fire.

I am a big fan of the Texas toast. It's got the butter and it's got that toasty taste. Yes! I always eat it first, which breaks my rule of eating fries first in a typical combo meal.

Now lets talk about the special sauce. For those wondering, here are the terrific ingredients for this jamming sauce!

  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper

You get a 22oz drink with the combo. I generous size for most Americans.

1250-1440 calories depending on drinkage and sauce consumption.

7.5/10 rating for this one. This is one hell of a combo meal! Personal bias drops this rating because I am not a huge coleslaw fan! Is it possible to substitute the coleslaw? We shall find out amongst return.

The McChicken $5 meal deal review

Everyone has had the contents of the McChicken $5 meal deal at some point already. You get a mcchicken, 4 chicken nuggets, choice of dipping sauce, small fry, and a small drink. That gets you 990 calories without sauce, expect to add another 30-110 calories depending on sauce choice and usage.

I found myself overworked the hottest day of the summer. Stumbled into a new McDonald's establishment for a quick bite and some AC. I didn't have the money, nor did I want to spend over $10+ on a combo meal. So I settled with the McChicken $5 deal.

Whenever I have fries, anywhere, I eat them first. I love and prefer the hot ones, so they went quick. McDonald's salty classic fries, what a good warm up for the rest of the meal.

I have always been a fan of how the mcchicken patty tastes, paired with the mayo and warm bun. Not a lettuce guy, but I eat it as it comes. The nuggets are usually a fun little snack, more or less it gives me a reason to enjoy my favorite sauce, honey mustard.

I am not saying to run out and buy this, however, if you are on a budget, you can't get much more bang for your buck than this one.

6 / 10 rating for this one, mostly due to the affordability.
